Making & Meaning:

This was the last art object I made in 2022. An autobiographical piece, it was born out of frustration, the kind that lingers long after the moment has passed.

When I was younger, if there were kids playing with a ball nearby, I somehow knew it would end up hitting me. And it always did. Once, it even made me bleed badly.

CATCH! Captures that invisible tension, the feeling of being watched by chance, of being targeted by accident. It’s about vulnerability, anticipation, and the absurd certainty that some forces just seem to find you.

Though it was first made in 2022, it felt right to begin this project with this piece, a symbol of impact, memory, and resilience.

This is the kind of aesthetic and storytelling I hope to continue throughout the series. Like a visual Journal.
